Poltergeist fight
Beat the three poltergeists and the one shadow creature that came out of the painting Elijah J. Lucas attacked.
- Ruasar went down and rolled two nat 1’s.
- Elijah J. Lucas low-key carried.
- Lorien Painbearer used Divine Sense and sensed himself.
Cisco used Cure Wounds on Lorien — failed. Confirms Lorien is undead. Tinge of blue in his eyes but he seems fine more or less. Left him be.
The ballroom
Cisco and Elijah returned to the ballroom to loot. Once again filled with a glow — ethereal musicians and dancers. Stopped and stared when we entered.
Ruasar (from the hallway) and Cisco played along with the band. Got a bardic inspiration as a result.
The mirror
Headed back down the hallway to the grand foyer. Investigated the following-mirror.
- Ruasar couldn’t determine much beyond the fact it contained the hag’s power.
- Ruasar’s Mage Hand passed through without issue.
- Yort Li prompted Cisco to send a rat through. The rat disappeared from our world but appeared in the mirror.
- Elijah suggested destroying it. Did so as everyone stepped away.
The mirror shattered. Elijah J. Lucas and Fernie were teleported through to a master bedroom. The animated armor activated in the grand foyer.
Combat
- Elijah spent a turn smashing mirrors — teleported from room to room until he recognized he was above the ballroom in a game room.
- Ruasar levitated one of the suits of armor; Elijah saw it from the second floor.
- Elijah jumped out the window onto Fernie for a no-fall-damage glide down to the foyer. Badass.
- Throughout, Lorien Painbearer was using his javelin for some Ilmater-forsaken reason.
- Fernie used Thrash on the floating armor for advantage on attack rolls.
- Lorien threw his sword at the floating armor — hit but stuck in the visor. (Was this a nat 1?)
- Lorien went down when the armor took the sword out and threw it back at him.
- Combat over. Cisco used a healing potion to bring Lorien back.
