A coven of six hags, one per stone on the chained oak in Brackenford. Their deals and curses are the engine of the campaign.

As one of them put it before dying: “When one hag dies, others will rise.” When the Manor Hag was killed in Session 20, the screen-clearing line was “[Our group] now hold the chain.”

The party slew three of the six and decided to leave the rest — moving on to Greyhaven in Session 29.

Slain

Forest Hag

Forest stone. Took Briarhollow. Killed in Session 07 / Session 08; her medallion fully destroyed in Session 16.

Soul Hag (the Manor Hag)

Soul stone. Operated out of Brackenford manor, impersonating Lady Serenna in the deepest room. Tied to the Hollowed in the warehouse — the warehouse zombies were her soul-batteries. Killed in Session 20. Her death triggered the “now hold the chain” line.

Sea Hag

Sea stone. The originator. Gave the heart to Captain Stormeye in exchange for souls. Killed in Session 27.

Remaining (the party walked away)

The other three stones were never resolved. Garron Drex’s “hag threat is done” line in Session 29 is what the Brackenford townsfolk believe — but three hags are still out there.

  • Sky Hag — sky stone. Unknown.
  • Blood Hag — blood stone. The blood rune in Brackenford manor was a tool the Soul Hag used; the Blood Hag herself has not appeared.
  • Death Hag — death stone. Unknown.
