The campaign wiki for Grim Tidings — currently set in the riverside metropolis of Greyhaven, after the party walked away from the cursed port of Brackenford with three of six hags slain and the rest left to history.
Where we are now
- Greyhaven — extremely old riverside metropolis. Three rivers meet here. Sharply stratified (four social classes), heavily regulated entry, governed by the Civic Assembly and the Grand Ledger. The party is here as of Session 29.
- The campaign’s center of gravity has moved here. Brackenford is in the rear-view mirror — no plans to return.
The Party
Active:
- Cisco Laporte — bard and former Waterdeep thief
- Elijah J. Lucas and Fernie — dragonborn ranger and his gold dragon (now revealed)
- Lorien Painbearer — paladin of Ilmater, bearer of The Heart of Brackenford
- Adrik — dwarf monk, master carpenter, joined in Session 30
On paternity leave:
- Yort Li — tortle, raising Dear Li in Brackenford
Retired:
- Ruasar — split off in Session 30 to study at the Collegium of Ordered Aether under Kevin
The story so far
Act I — Brackenford (Sessions 1–28)
A port city dying by inches under Lord Alric’s rule, with three of six hags feeding off it. The party broke the chain on The Forest Hag, the Soul Hag (in Brackenford manor), and the Sea Hag. They installed Old Briar as Steward, freed Captain Stormeye from the Sea Hag’s thrall (with a contraption stuck on his head), and took the Heart out of Lord Alric’s chest with Lorien Painbearer now bearing it. Three hags remain — Sky, Blood, Death — but the party left them.
Act II — Greyhaven (Sessions 29+)
Walked the road to Greyhaven, bluffed the gate with Ruasar’s academy papers and Lord Alric’s seal, met Adrik at The Gilded Ledger, and now operate out of the Greywood Carpenters Brotherhood. The big complication: a six-strong squad of dragonborn bounty hunters led by Vaerix Thalos has tracked Elijah to the city. They want Fernie back — she is the stolen egg (Elijah saved her from being sacrificed before she hatched). The party knows; the city doesn’t.
