A dwarf who runs the mill / lumber dock in Greyhaven. Adrik has worked with him for years.
In Session 31 Adrik and Cisco confronted him about a grade-C softwood pallet stamped as grade-A oak that was delivered to the Greywood Carpenters Brotherhood. Drogon was ostensibly concerned and tried to sweep it under the rug as a discount pallet.
- Adrik insisted on inspecting and found the actual grade-A mountain oak still on site.
- Drogon brought over a fall-guy who bowed apologetically and left.
- Cisco watched a handful of individuals shuffling marked boxes between each other inside the mill — clearly not an accident.
Thrain heard the report and wrote “Drogon Grudge” in his black book.
Inner circle
Per Thrain in Session 32, Drogon runs a tight crew at the warehouse:
- Seris — bookkeeper. Cracking under a self-erasing ledger.
- Kell — a guard of some kind
- Tull — a watchful guard.
What’s actually going on
- Three recent bad shipments turned up at the Brotherhood (incl. Session 31’s tampered grade-C softwood stamped as grade-A oak).
- The party found clear fraud evidence at Warehouse 17 in Session 32 — uncoded books showing items being switched.
- Seris’s ledger pages are erasing themselves overnight — magical effect Drogon can’t (or won’t) explain. He says he doesn’t know what’s happening either.
- Drogon told Seris they only need to do one more shipment for a mysterious man before they’re free.
In the campaign
- Encountered in Session 31 at the docks. Played innocent. Adrik chose to let it go this one individual time — but Thrain now has a marked feud against him.
- In Session 32 the party broke into Warehouse 17 and overheard him berating Seris over the disappearing ledger. Hugged her when she broke down. Apparently in over his head — coerced or trapped by the mysterious man.
- In Session 34 Adrik tailed his courier (Polder) and watched him drop letters into Drogon’s office in his blank, soul-evacuated state.
- Session 35 — Polder delivered an unsigned rescind letter from “Adrik Swiftboot” claiming an alleged morning letter had been premature. Drogon was confused and dismissed Polder. Adrik then walked into the warehouse himself, used the rush-order pretext to corner him, and questioned Drogon’s integrity to his face. Drogon shifted from relaxed-fake to forceful — Adrik gleamed it was a facade. He was muttering as Adrik walked out.
- Session 36 — set a trap. Lay in wait through the night with Seris, Kell, and Tull for the party to come back for the lockbox. Confronted Adrik with a repeating crossbow under a Minor Illusion, asking “Who sent you? The assembly? Vaughn? Or the letter maker?” — first time anyone’s heard The Letter Maker named. Cisco posed as the Letter Maker to bluff him. Drogon wept (glasses fogged from tears) but did not fold — fired the crossbow, yelled “Disperse!!”, threw a smoke bomb, and escaped. He’s been waiting for weeks in his head, even though the party was here yesterday.
- Session 37 — not present (escaped the prior session), but under interrogation Seris gave up his address and described him obsessing over the Lockbox. The party now has a location on him.
