The captain’s eye
Cisco noticed Captain Stormeye’s prosthetic eye pulses with arcane magic — apparently worth a lot to the right buyer.
Cisco asked Stormeye what was going on with the chest. Captain acted super sus.
“They can’t have it, it’s mine.”
Cisco threatened the captain. Ironside stood him down.
The heart in the chest
Stormeye revealed the chest contains a heart (The Heart of Brackenford):
- Took it from a hag with promises of prosperity for Brackenford.
- Heart gives power of the sea — good winds, fish harvests, etc.
- Exerts control over people.
- Powered by malevolent energy from someone keeping it alive.
The party decided to find the hag and sever the curse.
The ravine
Arrived at an island and a ravine — single weathered watchtower and a cave.
- Possibly some other stuff happened before we entered.
- Went in. Avoided crabs scuttling about.
- Ruasar noticed a large sea creature.
