- Mistress Quill — upstairs. The arcane expert for physical, enchanted artifacts that can have mental effects.
- YGOR — eccentric long-tenured researcher in the basement. “YGOR is YGOR, who has been here for a long time.”
In the campaign
- Set as Ruasar’s destination during the gate-bluff planning in Session 30. Ruasar’s existing paperwork from the Collegium is what got the rest of the party past the gate (with Cisco’s forgery additions).
- Ruasar split off to study here at the end of Session 30 — said goodbye to the party at the ledger office and said to say hi sometime.
- Lorien visited in Session 34 looking for arcane help on the Lockbox mystery. Got past the gatekeeper (after divesting four javelins, much to the gatekeeper’s surprise), got lost on the way to Mistress Quill, and ended up in the basement laboratory of YGOR, who examined the Heart in his chest, called him a specimen, and disappeared the moment Lorien opened the door to leave.
