Aftermath
With the Sea Hag dead, Cisco went to comfort Stormeye. Stormeye was pretty out of it and down on himself, blaming his weakness for Bjorn Ironfoot’s death.
Cisco told Stormeye he needed to be strong for his crew, offered to help with the trap.
Stormeye wanted to know who killed Bjorn Ironfoot. Lorien Painbearer told the unfortunate truth. Stormeye deflated.
Bjorn’s body
Cisco looked at Bjorn’s foot for value while Elijah J. Lucas looked too. A valuable weapon — some magic neither of them was privy to.
Lorien offered to bring Bjorn out of the cave. Cisco convinced Yort Li to carry him. Lorien beseeched us for help — we ignored him.
Lorien rolled a nat 1, hurt his back, and dropped Bjorn into the water below.
RIP
Goodbye Bjorn.
Stormeye was aghast and enraged, didn’t trust himself to speak. Lorien didn’t say anything.
Stormeye sat on the edge of Yort Li’s shell, sobbing. Cisco went to comfort him.
Elijah J. Lucas, who started laughing uncontrollably after the drop, climbed aboard while trying to regain himself.
Out of the cave
We exited the ravine, not yet noon. Heard moans of groggy sailors.
The tides receded as the hag’s grip loosened. The Harrow’s Wake rose out of the ocean. The crew made their way to the ship and began preparations.
Stormeye joined them with silent directions. We joined them for a ride back.
Aboard the Harrow’s Wake
Elijah J. Lucas went to Gaelen to face his vision. Hans wasn’t prepared for this.
Returned to Brackenford on the Harrow’s Wake.
Brackenford welcomes us
Large crowd, sense of jubilation. The crew disembarked. Stormeye remained.
Cisco joined Stormeye in the study to talk and try to remove the contraption.
First, Cisco asked Lyle for advice. Lyle was sketchy as usual — went to the basement, screams and explosions heard below. Headed back to the Harrow’s Wake.
Lyle set out some sketchy tools and poked and prodded at Stormeye. Oops, he isn’t going to help.
Cisco tried to convince Stormeye to take out his eye since the trap magic was interfering. The eye was 100% aware and contemplated Cisco’s offer to go with him.
The eye popped itself out of his socket and crawled on top of Stormeye’s head.
Cisco asked what the eye wanted. It shrugged with its tendrils. Cisco asked if it wanted to come with him in his backpack.
Cast Suggestion on the eye to convince it to join us.
It jumped in Cisco’s bag and seemed content, at least for the next 8 hours.
Cisco brought the eye to Lyle to find a more secure container. Lyle rejected it pretty quickly — far too dangerous. Told Cisco to try and be its friend.
This whole thing was a disaster. Cisco convinced the eye to go back to Stormeye.
